Hurricane LifePoint Makes Landfall in Gonzales!

Posted on: July 14, 2008 by Donavon Hill Related Categories: lifepoint on the road

Tonight, a chunk of LifePoint swept into The Pentecostal's of Ascension Parish - like a hurricane!  Actually, we were pretty calm and had a great time.  POA did a great job leading worship and getting us into the presense of God!  Valerie and I did a small acoustic set and then I preached.  The LifePointers had heard some of my ruminatings already but they didn't complain - at least not openly!

We did have a great time with Pastor Charles Hatcher and his family.  I first met he and his wife, Karen, 23 years ago in seminary!  Wow!  Karen has been a help to us since we first pulled into Prairieville.  She even helped unload our U-Haul!  What a gal!  Their daughter, Krista-the-Eldest, is a sweetheart and the driving force behind Project 1 Eight (aka P18 or P1E), an LSU student ministry.  Their other daughter, Vonda-the-Younger, is a sweetheart too and hangs out a bunch with my daughter, Lizzie-the-Middle.

We had good worship, prayer and fellowship!  Thank you POA and the Hatcher family!

Peace and love.
