LifePoint LIVE - July 13, 2008 - On a Mission: Mission Accomplished!

Posted on: July 14, 2008 by Donavon Hill Related Categories: lifepoint live

Today was the final installment of the series On a Mission.  The message was entitled, Mission Accomplished.  The series has been a lot of fun!  With Caleb and Jesse dressing-up like the Blues Brothers and dancing to Everybody Needs Somebody, how could it NOT have been fun?  But it's also been challenging.

Mission Accomplished looked at the life of another Old Testament character, Habakkuk (that's his actual picture on the side of this text - the pic was snagged by our snappy LifePoint research team aka LifeSearch...or is it LifeReTeam?)!  Jewish tradition teaches that he is the son of the Shunammite woman who remodeled her house, making room for the prophet, Elisha.  Jewish tradition also says Habakkuk endured Babylonian captivity and was repatriated by Cyrus the Great.  This view brings up some very interesting possibilities and we looked at a few of them.  However, today's bottom line was this:  This church "thing" is all about personal relationship with God.

Today was a good day - from the opening by Jesse "the Hulk" Ferris, to the worship, to the prayer, to the fellowship and sense of community!  I'm loving this journey!  Have a great week!

Peace and love and group hugs!
