Tonight was the last LIFT of the summer. We begin LifeGroups again next week on Tuesday in Baton Rouge and Thursday in Prairieville. Wow! Has time flown by or what? More details will be available at LIVE Sunday.
Tonight was a real treat! We topped off our series on Bible animals by looking at pigs and dogs. We focused on Jesus' statement in Matthew 7:6 and then looked at a series of remarks made by Peter in his epistles. It was all very interesting!
I did the pig part and Valerie finished up with the dog part. As in most all of the animal illustrations in the Bible, the pig and dog represent spirits, attitudes. In our study tonight, we saw how pigs and dogs do not appreciate what is precious, rare and valuable. We are warned not to be like this. Of course, we had fun with it . . . as you can imagine!
